After more than 20 years of intensive production, the Irie Ites Records label has become a major player in reggae production on an international scale. Working with top-tier artists in Jamaica and around the world, the label once again maintained a fast-paced release schedule in 2024.
Following the success of the compilations Cream of the Crop 2022 with over 3 million streams and Cream of the Crop 2023 with more than 1 million streams on Spotify, Irie Ites Records is back with a new compilation, Cream of the Crop 2024, featuring the best tracks from the label released this year, along with a few exclusive songs!
The lineup includes legendary artists such as Eek A Mouse, Linval Thompson, Glen Washington, and the late Frankie Paul, as well as lesser-known but equally talented artists like Little Kirk and Screw Driver. You’ll also find modern artists like Anthony B, Chezidek, Solo Banton, and Joy Yorke, as well as the new Brazilian reggae sensation Junior Dread.
For the music production, the label collaborated as always with top reggae musicians, including the legendary Roots Radics, Sly & Robbie, as well as Willy William, The Ligerians, and West Finga for other tracks.
To close out this compilation, there are five dub versions produced by Jericho of Irie Ites in his studio.
